Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Maurício Lima started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Afonso Meira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quaracu's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Meira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walmir da Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ronaldinho de Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jânio Severo's late challenge caught a Lamina SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jânio Severo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Quaracu's Caetano Cordeiro got a free kick in the 13th minute. Lamina SS's Ramón Arce couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 14th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Quaracu. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldinho de Lara in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Betão Maia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurício Lima in the 20th minute of play forced Quaracu's goalkeeper Betão Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 20 played minutes Quaracu got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Cearense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afonso Meira got free with Walmir da Cunha in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ronaldinho de Lara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Betão Maia having to make a save. Walmir da Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wágner Zanette, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After 30 played minutes Lamina SS got a freekick which was hit by Bruninho Leme. In the 38th minute, César Guerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maurício Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 44 played minutes Lamina SS got a freekick which was hit by Bruninho Leme. If Afonso Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wágner Zanette stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Maurício Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 54 played minutes, Quaracu's César Guerra shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Walmir da Cunha came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Quaracu reached it. If Wágner Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amauri Mazza during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Lamina SS booed when Quaracu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amauri Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Lamina SS's Ramón Arce broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ronaldinho de Lara struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Betão Maia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lamina SS. Bruninho Leme hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. If Bruninho Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the game, Maurício Lima was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lamina SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quaracu the free kick. Maurício Lima hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Afonso Meira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Quaracu's Wágner Zanette sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Walmir da Cunha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 85th minute Caetano Cordeiro suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 85 minutes of play Lamina SS's Maurício Lima was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Maurício Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Wágner Zanette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Lamina SS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Quaracu.
