Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Luiz Eduardo Mesquita started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Salinada AD's zone, Cauan Rezende stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Paulo Cardozo came out of the goal and Cauan Rezende tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 5 minutes into the match, Salinada AD's goalkeeper Luiz Paulo Cardozo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aleandro Cruz. The supporters of Salinada AD booed when Corityba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hortêncio Pena didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Jorge Melo made a precise shot to the right of João Paulo Neves. Corityba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 15th minute of the match, Hortêncio Pena tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Luiz Paulo Cardozo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Eduardo Mesquita in the 16th minute of play forced Salinada AD's goalkeeper Luiz Paulo Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Cido Soeiro fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Corityba's protests and gave Cido Soeiro a yellow card for diving instead. Cido Soeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Chicão Eger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorge Melo took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Paulo Neves. João Paulo Neves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Jorge Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Fernando da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Paulo Neves having to interfere. Chicão Eger struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. João Paulo Neves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salinada AD. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luan Freitas during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aleandro Cruz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Luiz Paulo Cardozo made a huge save. Tião Mendonça took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Paulo Neves. João Paulo Neves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Luiz Fernando da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Paulo Neves having to interfere.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chicão Eger was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Cauan Rezende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Paulo Cardozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Eduardo Mesquita in the 55th minute of play forced Salinada AD's goalkeeper Luiz Paulo Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Eduardo Mesquita was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. A collision led to Salinada AD getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Tião Mendonça hit a great ball. The supporters of Salinada AD booed when Corityba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durvalino Vander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Corityba's João Paulo Neves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Corityba from getting a goal against them. If Jorge Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Paulo Neves stood somewhat misplaced when Luiz Fernando da Silveira came free in front of goal and shot 1-4 to the left of him in the 91 minute. When Tião Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Salinada AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tião Mendonça couldn't finish the play. The Salinada AD supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Salinada AD would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
