Wágner Cordeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulysses Guedes in the 4th minute of the match. If Caco Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 12th match minute, Jeitosa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basílio Neto to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the match, Jeitosa's goal looked a bit too open when Samuca Passos came free, but Wágner Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeitosa's Wágner Cordeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuca Passos in the 22nd minute of play. Raúl Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betão Cearense in the 29th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Anselmo Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wágner Cordeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuca Passos, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After 38 minutes Jeitosa's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Enéas Pereira who took care of the corner kick. Elói Maia scored 1-1 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wágner Cordeiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wágner Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulysses Guedes in the 48th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Jeitosa's Caco Diniz got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raúl Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betão Cearense, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. A collision led to Crimeia getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Elói Maia hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Crimeia's zone, Betão Cearense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raúl Macedo came out of the goal and Betão Cearense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Magno Alvarenga hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Crimeia defense, Caco Diniz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raúl Macedo. The Crimeia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raúl Macedo should have stopped the shot. Caco Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Raúl Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Jeitosa's zone, Ulysses Guedes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wágner Cordeiro came out of the goal and Ulysses Guedes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jeitosa's goalkeeper Wágner Cordeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 96 minutes into the match, Jeitosa's goal looked a bit too open when Samuca Passos came free, but Wágner Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
