After 15 played minutes Lupuna got a freekick which was hit by Celso Pernambucano. In the 18th minute of the match Dedê Figueiredo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sérgio Lara showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bernardinho de Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juarês Severo hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Lupuna's Sérgio Lara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Lupuna from getting a goal against them. 27 minutes into the game, Matheus Ramos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Sérgio Lara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 31 minutes into the match, Lupuna's goal looked a bit too open when David Salgado came free, but Sérgio Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardinho de Souza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dadá Corrêa went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Eusébio Azevedo took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernardinho de Souza. Bernardinho de Souza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Sérgio Lara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomé Urbano charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Galo Doido F.C booed when Lupuna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomé Urbano didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Juarês Severo fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lupuna's protests and gave Juarês Severo a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 86th minute of the game. One of Lupuna:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Galo Doido F.C:s goal. In the 92nd minute, Lupuna's Dadá Corrêa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bernardinho de Souza. Bernardinho de Souza yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matheus Ramos in the 95th minute of play forced Lupuna's goalkeeper Sérgio Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96thth minute of the game Geovânio Tavares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lupuna's Sérgio Lara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If David Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
