But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aleandro de Mendonça couldn't finish the play. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Emburana's goalkeeper Sérgio Pereira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Charles Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Felippe Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 26 minutes, Charles Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Emburana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charles Sá was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rubens de Souza got free with Felippe Porto in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Mombuca booed when Emburana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute Rubens de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felippe Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 64 minutes, Aleandro de Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mombuca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aleandro de Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aleandro de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Pereira having to interfere. In the 69thth minute of the game Charles Sá who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mombuca's Felippe Porto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Charles Sá came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Emburana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charles Sá couldn't finish the play. 73 minutes into the match, Mombuca's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Sá came free, but Felippe Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, Marcelo Rossi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Emburana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mombuca the free kick. A collision led to Emburana getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Mombuca's Felippe Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubens de Souza in the 84th minute of play. In the 94th minute, Emburana's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Aleandro de Mendonça fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, Emburana's Doriva Baptista got a free kick in the 95th minute. Aleandro de Mendonça blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sérgio Pereira having to make a save. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
