Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Umberto Perez took the kick off in the first half of the match. Dudu Borges charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dudu Borges the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Tauatuba SS booed when Barriero EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dudu Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isaltino Pirani, 8 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Barriero EC's Dudu Borges got his second yellow card of the match in the 10th minute. The referee ordered Dudu Borges off the ground. After 11 played minutes Barriero EC got a freekick which was hit by Dudu Borges. Isaltino Pirani's shot from long distance in the 12th minute was not bad at all, but Barriero EC's Dedê da Silveira knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Rodriguinho de Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Fabiano da Cunha having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tauatuba SS's zone, Rodriguinho de Godoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Fabiano da Cunha came out of the goal and Rodriguinho de Godoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Marcinho Damião came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Barriero EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcinho Damião couldn't finish the play. Cléber Medeiros struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Dedê da Silveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tauatuba SS. When Luís Fernando Tinoco fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tauatuba SS's protests and gave Luís Fernando Tinoco a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Barriero EC booed when Tauatuba SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fernando Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacinto Paraense kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. José Matorin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Dedê da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denílson Netto charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denílson Netto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 37th minute, Denílson Netto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute, Rodriguinho de Godoi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Fabiano da Cunha was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Tauatuba SS's Luís Fabiano da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodriguinho de Godoi in the 44th minute of play. Barriero EC's Umberto Perez got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

In the 51st minute, Sydney Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tauatuba SS's Luís Fabiano da Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Tauatuba SS from getting a goal against them. Cléber Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedê da Silveira having to interfere. Tauatuba SS's Luís Fabiano da Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Tauatuba SS from getting a goal against them. After 64 played minutes Tauatuba SS got a freekick which was hit by Denílson Netto. José Matorin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Dedê da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rodriguinho de Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cléber Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Dedê da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodriguinho de Godoi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Luís Fabiano da Cunha when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rodriguinho de Godoi in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luís Fabiano da Cunha, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Rodriguinho de Godoi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luís Fabiano da Cunha. That made the score 0-2 in the 93 minute of play. Barriero EC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
