In the 11th play minute Carlos Augusto Diniz came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Joel Carvalho. 2-0. Carlos Augusto Diniz struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Joel Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ESQUADRILHA DA FUMAÇA F.C. Wilson Passos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the game, Varzeota's Américo Pinheiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodriguinho Fernandes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 30 minutes into the match, Hermínio Negri dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joel Carvalho, 3-1. 33 minutes into the game, Wilson Passos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Varzeota's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ESQUADRILHA DA FUMAÇA F.C the free kick. After 33 played minutes Varzeota got a freekick which was hit by Wilson Passos. Rodriguinho Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson Passos in the 38th minute of play. After a rather tough play, ESQUADRILHA DA FUMAÇA F.C's Adriano Reis got a free kick in the 38th minute. If Carlos Augusto Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hermínio Negri was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Hermínio Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 53 minutes into the match, Hermínio Negri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joel Carvalho. Varzeota's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hermínio Negri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Rodriguinho Fernandes stood somewhat misplaced when Américo Pinheiro came free in front of goal and shot 4-2 to the left of him in the 57 minute. Américo Pinheiro hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. A collision led to Varzeota getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Aluísio Mattos hit a great ball. Carlos Augusto Diniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermínio Negri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of ESQUADRILHA DA FUMAÇA F.C booed when Varzeota was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betinho da Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermínio Negri in the 80th minute of play forced Varzeota's goalkeeper Joel Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
