After a rather tough play, The Blue Dolphins's Igor da Silveira got a free kick in the 4th minute. The audience was convinced that Tony Sena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gino Esteves was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. In the 9th minute Luís Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubens Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Mocha AD getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Luiz Paulo Hoffmann hit a great ball. Erik Coelho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Gino Esteves made a huge save. If Tony Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ademar Arruda kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. If Erik Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manfredo Campidelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erik Coelho came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gino Esteves could save by the left post. After 41 played minutes The Blue Dolphins got a freekick which was hit by Manfredo Campidelis. Rubens Vasconcelos came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by The Blue Dolphins's Luís Linares. But to his dismay, Luís Linares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Tony Sena made the kick off in the second half. Manfredo Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Rubens Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Linares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubens Vasconcelos having to interfere. If Manfredo Campidelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the last second Rubens Vasconcelos throw himself and got hold of the ball when Luís Linares in the 65thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Rubens Vasconcelos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Linares, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After having played for 70 minutes, Manfredo Campidelis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Blue Dolphins's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manfredo Campidelis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luisão Loyola kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, The Blue Dolphins's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Coelho came free, but Gino Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manfredo Campidelis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Rubens Vasconcelos made a huge save. Manfredo Campidelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rubens Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Linares in the 88th minute of the match. If Luís Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
