Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Luís Fabiano Lopes kicked off to start the match. A collision led to Sucuarana EC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Andrézinho Alvarenga hit a great ball. André Silveira, 8 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Luís Fabiano Lopes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eriberto Toscano having to make a save. When Luís Eduardo Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Pequizeiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Eduardo Medeiros couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Pequizeiro's zone, Edu Santana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Márcio Jacinto came out of the goal and Edu Santana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Noel Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 22 minutes into the match, Pequizeiro's goal looked a bit too open when Noel Nunes came free, but Márcio Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Fabiano Pimenta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Márcio Jacinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noel Nunes in the 24th minute of the match. If Noel Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Márcio Jacinto was a little too slow when Noel Nunes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davi de Toledo in the 32nd minute of play forced Sucuarana EC's goalkeeper Eriberto Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36thth minute of the game Noel Nunes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pequizeiro's Márcio Jacinto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Noel Nunes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 38th minute. Sucuarana EC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Edu Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio Jacinto having to interfere. Eriberto Toscano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fabiano Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raúl de Alcântara hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. A hard and well directed shot from André Silveira led 44 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Sucuarana EC's Eriberto Toscano became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Noel Nunes was the one to do the kick off. Edu Santana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 59 minutes into the game, Luís Eduardo Medeiros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pequizeiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sucuarana EC the free kick. The supporters of Sucuarana EC booed when Pequizeiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Eduardo Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luís Fabiano Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pequizeiro's Luís Eduardo Medeiros got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Sucuarana EC's Andrézinho Alvarenga got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sucuarana EC's goalkeeper Eriberto Toscano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Noel Nunes put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Márcio Jacinto.
