Buritys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Norberto Proença was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 21 played minutes Bilheira SS got a freekick which was hit by Yan Alvarenga. After a defensive mix-up in Bilheira SS's zone, Norberto Proença stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Belmiro da Fonseca came out of the goal and Norberto Proença tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nilson Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Belmiro da Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Buritys's Fausto Batista got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Norberto Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belmiro da Fonseca having to interfere. Bilheira SS's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Nilson Moreno 34 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. After a rather tough play, Bilheira SS's Aluísio Montenegro got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Nilson Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belmiro da Fonseca having to interfere. Reinaldo Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aluísio Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Nilson Moreno made the kick off in the second half. Reinaldo Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yan Alvarenga in the 51st minute of the match. Belmiro da Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilson Moreno in the 56th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yan Alvarenga during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Belmiro da Fonseca came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Buritys's Norberto Proença. But to his dismay, Norberto Proença quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Norberto Proença sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
