Jano Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abelardo Azevedo hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Iuri Moura blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lucas Paraíba having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Róbson de Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guapiranga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Róbson de Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucas Paraíba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucas Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Róbson de Mendonça in the 26th minute of the match. Lucas Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Róbson de Mendonça in the 27th minute of play. After 28 minutes, Frédson Borges mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itaguacu and the Guapiranga FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jano Mesquita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmílson Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 70th minute, Iuri Moura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 75th minute by Róbson de Mendonça got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Iuri Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Paraíba having to interfere.
