Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Descalvado's Paulo Tande got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rafael Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Cares EC's zone, Ciro Freire stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aílton Fernandez came out of the goal and Ciro Freire tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Carlos Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Luisão Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aílton Fernandez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Motta in the 28th minute. Rafael Motta struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Aílton Fernandez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Descalvado. A collision led to Cares EC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Lino Leal hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Carlos Cruz to make the kick off. Paulo Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Rafael Motta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Cares EC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Tande came free, but Aílton Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Carlos Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisão Ramalho having to interfere. Paulo Tande might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aílton Fernandez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo Tande ran back to his position shaking his head. Rafael Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Aílton Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Vitinho Nunes fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Descalvado's protests and gave Vitinho Nunes a yellow card for diving instead. Ciro Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Luisão Ramalho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Walmir Quirino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Freire in the 90th minute of play forced Cares EC's goalkeeper Aílton Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd match minute, Descalvado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitinho Nunes to maneuver through the defense. Luisão Ramalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Carlos Cruz in the 96th minute of the match.
