The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adelino Neves hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the match, TENEBROSO's Claudinho Valle broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guga Neiva in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nelsinho de Souza saved Itaracema from getting behind. Breno de Moraes struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Nelsinho de Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TENEBROSO. Wellington Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelsinho de Souza having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Itaracema's goal looked a bit too open when Wellington Teixeira came free, but Nelsinho de Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Wellington Teixeira notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Itaracema's Nelsinho de Souza. Nelsinho de Souza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guga Neiva couldn't finish the play. Nelsinho de Souza came out of the goal and Claudinho Valle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guga Neiva in the 39th minute of play forced Itaracema's goalkeeper Nelsinho de Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. TENEBROSO's Régis Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Vieira in the 41st minute of play. Claudinho Valle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Nelsinho de Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nelsinho de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guga Neiva in the 44th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Guga Neiva notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Itaracema's Nelsinho de Souza. Nelsinho de Souza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. After taking down the ball on TENEBROSO's corner Claudinho Valle fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nelsinho de Souza quite easily take care of the ball.
