To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 14 minutes in the game, Cristóvão Brito fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Nelsinho de Souza having to interfere. A collision led to Itaracema getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Breno Tepedino hit a great ball. Luizinho Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Cristóvão Brito struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Nelsinho de Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caconda SS. 1-0 became the score in the 24th minute when Custódio Santos elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Cláudio Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itaracema's supporters rose to their feet, but Cláudio Machado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristóvão Brito to strike the kick off in the second half. Caconda SS's Custódio Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 53 minutes, Cristóvão Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caconda SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristóvão Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Custódio Santos in the 55th minute of play forced Itaracema's goalkeeper Nelsinho de Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nelsinho de Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Custódio Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Cláudio Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luizinho Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Vieira in the 83rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Custódio Santos in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nelsinho de Souza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Caconda SS defense, Cláudio Machado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luizinho Mendonça. The Caconda SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luizinho Mendonça should have stopped the shot. Nelsinho de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Custódio Santos in the 91st minute of play. Tomás Perez struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Nelsinho de Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caconda SS. Itaracema's Mário Vieira got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Caconda SS support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
