After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Joaquim Tande managed to get in a good position for a shot. The supporters of Nassaro SC booed when Umarituba EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Penha didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Umarituba EC's Fábio Linhares got control of the ball when Denílson Nóbrega tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fábio Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denílson Nóbrega in the 52nd minute of the match. After having played for 60 minutes, Denílson Nóbrega managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elano Cosme came out of the goal and Juninho Barral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 88 minutes into the game, when Ulysses Guerra put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Umarituba EC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! In the 94th minute, Denílson Nóbrega got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th minute, Dedé Leal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
