Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zézinho de Barros started the match with the kick off. When Clarana's Percival Miranda in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vilfes FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 6 played minutes Clarana got a freekick which was hit by Rubens de Godoy. Virgílio Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristóvão Jacinto during the 11th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zézinho de Barros got free with Naldo Magalhães in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Virgílio Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Vilfes FC's Sebastião Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percival Miranda in the 25th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vilfes FC's Luiz Gustavo Bittencourt got a free kick in the 27th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Benê Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clarana's supporters rose to their feet, but Benê Vieira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastião Fernandes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Naldo Magalhães came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Vilfes FC's Zézinho de Barros. But to his dismay, Zézinho de Barros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Antônio Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zézinho de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Naldo Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastião Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Váldson Hames, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Naldo Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zézinho de Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Zézinho de Barros might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Naldo Magalhães. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zézinho de Barros ran back to his position shaking his head. Antônio Cavalcante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Clarana's zone, Zézinho de Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Naldo Magalhães came out of the goal and Zézinho de Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antônio Cavalcante struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Naldo Magalhães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vilfes FC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucas Cavalcante during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Naldo Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vilfes FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
