In the 3rd minute of the match Diguinho Rossi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ezequiel Motta skillfully saved the ball. Diego Carneiro kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Ronaldão Baptista took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ezequiel Motta. Lagoinhas SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ezequiel Motta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldão Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lagoinhas SC's goalkeeper Ezequiel Motta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 13th minute Luisinho Jacinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enéas Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Lagoinhas SC's Luisinho Jacinto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Adriano Fontes kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Macatuba's Vladimir Nascimento got a free kick in the 28th minute. Macatuba's Ronaldão Baptista got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Macatuba's Enéas Magalhães got control of the ball when Décio Furtado tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 42nd minute Ronaldão Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ezequiel Motta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgar Dante took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ezequiel Motta. Ezequiel Motta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 47th minute, Diego Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgar Dante was the one to do the kick off. Enéas Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Décio Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute, Décio Furtado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 60 minutes, Ronaldão Baptista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Macatuba and the Lagoinhas SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ezequiel Motta acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 73rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Diguinho Rossi. Jailson Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel Motta having to interfere. Ezequiel Motta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgar Dante's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Ronaldão Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Ezequiel Motta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Décio Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enéas Magalhães having to interfere. In the 89th minute of the match Diguinho Rossi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ezequiel Motta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Décio Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enéas Magalhães having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
