Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Idiolandia's Jano Silveira started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Idiolandia's Percival Secco got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Jeremias Pinho might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adelino do Nascimento. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jeremias Pinho ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Idiolandia's Agostinho Mangueira got a free kick in the 8th minute. After 11 played minutes Jabuticabal got a freekick which was hit by Maurício Vale. Jano Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Ernesto Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernesto Prestes came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Idiolandia's Jano Silveira. But to his dismay, Jano Silveira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 22nd match minute, Jabuticabal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugênio Bertassi to maneuver through the defense. Mané Machado struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Ernesto Prestes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Idiolandia. Jabuticabal's Ernesto Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jano Silveira in the 25th minute of play. Jeremias Pinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jabuticabal's Luís Guilherme Paiva got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Jabuticabal fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Jabuticabal's Luís Guilherme Paiva looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mané Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luís Guilherme Paiva to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Agostinho Mangueira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ernesto Prestes. Agostinho Mangueira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Adelino do Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Guilherme Paiva in the 59th minute of play. The goalkeeper, Ernesto Prestes, was totally fooled by Idiolandia's Frédson Araújo, who 69 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Idiolandia's Adelino do Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Guilherme Paiva in the 72nd minute of play. After 73 minutes, Agostinho Mangueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Idiolandia and the Jabuticabal players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Jabuticabal booed when Idiolandia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agostinho Mangueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 79 played minutes Idiolandia got a freekick which was hit by Agostinho Mangueira. In the 80th minute of the match Alex Andrade shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adelino do Nascimento showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Jabuticabal's Júnior França got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Jano Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Prestes having to interfere. If Jano Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Jabuticabal getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Júnior França hit a great ball. In the 96th minute of the match Idiolandia got a corner. Jabuticabal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Frédson Araújo ran over to the corner to take the kick.
