Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pacatu's goalkeeper Doriva Vergílio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Pacatu booed when Portella SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Washington Dracena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Portella SC's Ronaldo Meireles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glauco Queirós in the 5th minute of play. Otávio Severo hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After 7 played minutes Portella SC got a freekick which was hit by Kléber Sá. Wilson Pereira, 7 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Kléber Sá hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glauco Queirós in the 15th minute of play forced Portella SC's goalkeeper Ronaldo Meireles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute Gilberto Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doriva Vergílio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Doriva Vergílio made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Célio Barreto sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Carvalho in the 28th minute of play forced Pacatu's goalkeeper Doriva Vergílio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilberto Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronaldo Meireles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinei Velloso in the 33rd minute of the match. After having played for 39 minutes, Célio Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portella SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Célio Barreto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Pacatu's zone, Gilberto Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doriva Vergílio came out of the goal and Gilberto Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 48 minutes of play, Portella SC's Célio Barreto made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Doriva Vergílio was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilberto Carvalho to strike the kick off in the second half. Claudinei Velloso who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Ronaldo Meireles when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Célio Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portella SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Célio Barreto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doriva Vergílio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 58 minutes into the match, Célio Barreto notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Pacatu's Doriva Vergílio. Doriva Vergílio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 65thth minute of the game Célio Barreto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pacatu's Doriva Vergílio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Portella SC's Ronaldo Meireles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glauco Queirós in the 67th minute of play. If Claudinei Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute, Glauco Queirós fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ronaldo Meireles, passed just outside the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Portella SC's zone, Claudinei Velloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldo Meireles came out of the goal and Claudinei Velloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes into the game, Célio Barreto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Doriva Vergílio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ronaldo Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glauco Queirós in the 87th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Washington Dracena during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 87 played minutes Portella SC got a freekick which was hit by Washington Dracena. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Glauco Queirós in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronaldo Meireles saved Portella SC from getting behind. 93 minutes into the game, Pacatu's Claudinei Velloso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ronaldo Meireles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Portella SC's Célio Barreto got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Portella SC booed when Pacatu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Hoffmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Portella SC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
