The audience was convinced that Angelino Chayo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Doriva Vergílio was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. In the 5th minute Angelino Chayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doriva Vergílio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 6 minutes, Angelino Chayo made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Pacatu's Doriva Vergílio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 11th minute Wilian Nunes suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. 11 minutes into the game, Alfred Kornecki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ATLÉTICO BAHIANO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pacatu the free kick. The supporters of Pacatu booed when ATLÉTICO BAHIANO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfred Kornecki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnaldo Favoretto hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Glauco Queirós's late challenge caught a ATLÉTICO BAHIANO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Glauco Queirós helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Pacatu getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Glauco Queirós hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Pacatu's Arnaldo Favoretto got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 18thth minute of the game Angelino Chayo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pacatu's Doriva Vergílio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The ATLÉTICO BAHIANO fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when ATLÉTICO BAHIANO's Angelino Chayo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 24th minute, Alfred Kornecki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, ATLÉTICO BAHIANO's Sílvio Luís de Barros got control of the ball when Glauco Queirós tried to sneak it across the goal line. Doriva Vergílio didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when ATLÉTICO BAHIANO's Angelino Chayo shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. After some careless play in the Pacatu defense, Angelino Chayo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Doriva Vergílio. The Pacatu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Doriva Vergílio should have stopped the shot. In the 38thth minute of the game Angelino Chayo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pacatu's Doriva Vergílio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 41stth minute of the game Moisés Andrade who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pacatu's Doriva Vergílio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Doriva Vergílio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelino Chayo, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the match, Pacatu's goal looked a bit too open when Angelino Chayo came free, but Doriva Vergílio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Angelino Chayo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Pacatu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcinho Santana to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelino Chayo in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Doriva Vergílio saved Pacatu from getting behind. After 57 played minutes Pacatu got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Hoffmann. Angelino Chayo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manuel Buzescu kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 64thth minute of the game Angelino Chayo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pacatu's Doriva Vergílio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Angelino Chayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelino Chayo in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Doriva Vergílio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pacatu's Doriva Vergílio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Pacatu from getting a goal against them. Doriva Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelino Chayo in the 84th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Angelino Chayo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Doriva Vergílio. That made the score 1-5 in the 85 minute of play. Glauco Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luís de Barros having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelino Chayo in the 96th minute of play forced Pacatu's goalkeeper Doriva Vergílio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ATLÉTICO BAHIANO players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
