After a rather tough play, Tulhas's Richard Mazza got a free kick in the 8th minute. Tenente SS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jefferson Pena in the 15th minute. The corner led Tenente SS's Jefferson Pena to fire away a dangerous shot which Alfredo Favoretto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 25 minutes of play, Tenente SS's Alexsandro Cunha made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfredo Favoretto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rubinho Loureiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Inácio Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tulhas's supporters rose to their feet, but Inácio Machado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastião Zilles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Natã Neiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rubinho Loureiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sebastião Zilles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inácio Machado in the 52nd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the game, Hortêncio Massa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tenente SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tulhas the free kick. A collision led to Tenente SS getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Hortêncio Massa hit a great ball. Rubinho Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Sebastião Zilles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastião Zilles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inácio Machado in the 58th minute of play. When Rubinho Loureiro came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Tulhas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rubinho Loureiro couldn't finish the play. Rubinho Loureiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucas Vieira during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sebastião Zilles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Tenente SS's goalkeeper Sebastião Zilles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inácio Machado in the 97th minute of play forced Tenente SS's goalkeeper Sebastião Zilles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tenente SS's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
