The attack was good, but when Celsinho Barral in the 16th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 24 minutes into the game, Arnaldo Montenegro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baía do Penhasco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Banunal the free kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celsinho Barral got free with Rogério Rodrigues in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Banunal getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Deivid Favoretto hit a great ball. The referee gave Baía do Penhasco a penalty, 40 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by André Luís Cordeiro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Banunal's Rogério Rodrigues. 4-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celsinho Barral got free with Rogério Rodrigues in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A well placed Celsinho Barral short distance shot in the 48th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Celsinho Barral made a kick off. Rogério Rodrigues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celsinho Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Banunal's Deivid Favoretto got a free kick in the 64th minute. Rogério Rodrigues stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Celsinho Barral's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Fiori Novaes succeeded in the game's 69th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 7-0. Rogério Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celsinho Barral, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celsinho Barral in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rogério Rodrigues prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Banunal getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Washington Simão hit a great ball. Rogério Rodrigues didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Baía do Penhasco's Osvaldinho Peres shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 8-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Celsinho Barral took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rogério Rodrigues. Rogério Rodrigues dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. After a rather tough play, Baía do Penhasco's Fiori Novaes got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 98 minutes into the match, Banunal's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Montenegro came free, but Rogério Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baía do Penhasco walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
