Tomás Mattos kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Favoretto in the 11th minute of play forced Palmacia's goalkeeper Cesinha Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmundo Favoretto struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Cesinha Arruda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calabaca AD. 19 minutes into the game, Calabaca AD's Custódio Messias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cesinha Arruda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Custódio Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesinha Arruda having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Calabaca AD's Norberto Batista got a free kick in the 25th minute. 26 minutes in the game, Telmo Rosa dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. When Duda Botelho came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Calabaca AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Duda Botelho couldn't finish the play. After having played for 31 minutes, Custódio Messias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calabaca AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Custódio Messias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cesinha Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Favoretto in the 33rd minute of the match. When Calabaca AD's Edmundo Favoretto in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Telmo Rosa made a kick off. Edmundo Favoretto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the match, Custódio Messias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cesinha Arruda. Edmundo Favoretto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Cesinha Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Palmacia's Belchior dos Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Palmacia supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Calabaca AD's performance. The match ended with a win for Calabaca AD.
