Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. José Paulo Pontes started the match with the kick off. Flavinho Coutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. After having played for 5 minutes, José Paulo Pontes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibiatiara EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Paulo Pontes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Felippe Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felippe Valle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Erivaldo Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erivaldo Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Acácio Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felippe Valle scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erivaldo Tavares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Erivaldo Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Acácio Furtado in the 27th minute of the match. The supporters of Chagu booed when Ibiatiara EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franklin Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Ibiatiara EC's Alfredinho de Alcântara got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After some careless play in the Ibiatiara EC defense, Felippe Valle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erivaldo Tavares. The Ibiatiara EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erivaldo Tavares should have stopped the shot. Erivaldo Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felippe Valle in the 40th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ibiatiara EC's zone, Acácio Furtado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erivaldo Tavares came out of the goal and Acácio Furtado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chagu's Felippe Valle got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Acácio Furtado to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Acácio Furtado got free with Erivaldo Tavares in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ibiatiara EC's Luiz Guilherme Messias got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Chagu getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Flavinho Coutinho hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Chagu's Léo de Andrade got a free kick in the 67th minute. 74 minutes into the match, Ibiatiara EC's goal looked a bit too open when Acácio Furtado came free, but Erivaldo Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Felippe Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felippe Valle's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Erivaldo Tavares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Acácio Furtado got free in front of the goal in the 79th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Erivaldo Tavares was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Erivaldo Tavares successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Chagu's Ediberto Batista couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 86th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ibiatiara EC. 92 minutes into the match, Ibiatiara EC's goalkeeper Erivaldo Tavares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felippe Valle. Acácio Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Erivaldo Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Chagu could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ibiatiara EC throughout the match.
