Kléber da Fonseca came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Itaju's Gustavo Bueno. But to his dismay, Gustavo Bueno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Kléber da Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Bueno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Fernando Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 19 played minutes Itaju got a freekick which was hit by Júnior Moreira. 1-1 became the score in the 25th minute when Tião Branco elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Luiz Fernando Quadros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 36 minutes, Luiz Fernando Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itaju's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Fernando Quadros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Itaju's Gustavo Bueno got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tião Branco to strike the kick off in the second half. Breno Prado might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vinícius Lopes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Breno Prado ran back to his position shaking his head. Luiz Fernando Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kléber da Fonseca having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Gustavo Bueno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itaju's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustavo Bueno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kléber da Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tião Branco in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vinícius Lopes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Tião Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tião Branco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vinícius Lopes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. After having played for 95 minutes, Luiz Fernando Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itaju's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Fernando Quadros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Altamira SS getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Sílvio França hit a great ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
