Jairo Mattos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egídio Pires having to interfere. In the 6th minute, Jairo Mattos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arariuna F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Jairo Mattos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Egídio Pires having to make a save. If Jairo Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jairo Mattos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Egídio Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jairo Mattos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Egídio Pires having to make a save. Jairo Mattos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Egídio Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jairo Mattos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Egídio Pires having to make a save. Jairo Mattos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Jairo Mattos sped through Entremontes's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Egídio Pires. The Arariuna F.C fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Arariuna F.C's Jairo Mattos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jairo Mattos in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Egídio Pires saved Entremontes from getting behind. After some careless play in the Entremontes defense, Nestor Garcia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Egídio Pires. The Entremontes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Egídio Pires should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The wind increased when Carlinhos Cunha made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Erasmo Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 54 minutes, Jairo Mattos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arariuna F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jairo Mattos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Mattos in the 56th minute of play forced Entremontes's goalkeeper Egídio Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Jairo Mattos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arariuna F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Jairo Mattos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Egídio Pires breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jairo Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Egídio Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Mattos in the 74th minute of play. The throw-in from Erasmo Paranaense in the 76th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Arariuna F.C's Vicente Ribeiro. Jairo Mattos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Egídio Pires having to make a save. Egídio Pires made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Jairo Mattos sent off a good shot on target. In the 79th minute, Acácio de Queiroz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Egídio Pires. The goal made the score 0-7. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Jairo Mattos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Acácio de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erasmo Paranaense charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erasmo Paranaense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 89th match minute, Entremontes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Paranaense to maneuver through the defense. Arariuna F.C's Jairo Mattos got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Arariuna F.C could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Entremontes throughout the match.
