Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dalmai Sainz started the match with the kick off. After 3 minutes, Augusto Di Cola made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Calixto FC's Carlos Alberto Meira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Calixto FC's Luiz Fernando Abraão got a free kick in the 6th minute. Natanael Brito took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carlos Alberto Meira. Calixto FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 8th match minute, Calixto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Eger to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, Calixto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmai Sainz came free, but Carlos Alberto Meira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th match minute, Calixto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Eger to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Alberto Meira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalmai Sainz in the 16th minute of play. Afonso Eger hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Calixto FC's Luiz Fernando Abraão in the 19th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Nunez Rico was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for CR Framengo through an amazing save. Dalmai Sainz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Alberto Meira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Afonso Eger was shown his second yellow card after 29 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 30th match minute, Calixto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Eger to maneuver through the defense. When Tomás Brito came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Calixto FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Brito couldn't finish the play. Carlos Alberto Meira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalmai Sainz in the 39th minute of play. Luiz Fernando Abraão's late challenge caught a CR Framengo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Fernando Abraão helped the player get up and apologised. CR Framengo's Cesinha Tróia managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dedê Santos in the 42 minute of the game. Augusto Di Cola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Carlos Alberto Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Cesinha Tróia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half CR Framengo were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Dalmai Sainz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Carlos Alberto Meira came out and tried to block the shot, but Dalmai Sainz slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 53rd minute. Dalmai Sainz might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Alberto Meira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dalmai Sainz ran back to his position shaking his head. After 63 played minutes Calixto FC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernando Abraão. Augusto Di Cola kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 67thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Calixto FC's keeper Carlos Alberto Meira was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dalmai Sainz in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Alberto Meira saved Calixto FC from getting behind. In the 74th minute of the match, Augusto Di Cola got a very nice opportunity to score, but Carlos Alberto Meira was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gilson Rosado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Nunez Rico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th match minute, CR Framengo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean Tavares to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, CR Framengo's Augusto Di Cola got a free kick in the 80th minute. Dalmai Sainz hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Calixto FC defense, Augusto Di Cola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Alberto Meira. The Calixto FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Alberto Meira should have stopped the shot. CR Framengo's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
