Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lucas Sena started the match with the kick off. Alberto Toscano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Tacuru's Juninho Netto got a free kick in the 5th minute. Laércio Marinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fellipe Araújo having to interfere. When João Saldanha came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Tacuru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Saldanha couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Caraguatehy's zone, Lucas Sena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chico Tavares came out of the goal and Lucas Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antônio Carlos Moreira's late challenge caught a Caraguatehy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antônio Carlos Moreira helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Tacuru's Antônio Carlos Moreira got a free kick in the 13th minute. 22 minutes into the game, Alberto Toscano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fellipe Araújo. Alberto Toscano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Edmundo Melo's late challenge caught a Tacuru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edmundo Melo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Caraguatehy getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Edmundo Melo hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, João Saldanha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chico Tavares. Caraguatehy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Saldanha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Chico Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Tacuru's João Saldanha in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Caraguatehy's goalie prevented a goal. After 43 played minutes Tacuru got a freekick which was hit by Antônio Carlos Moreira. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Alberto Toscano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caraguatehy's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Toscano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fellipe Araújo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alberto Toscano made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Alberto Toscano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fellipe Araújo was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. 61 minutes into the match, Caraguatehy's Laércio Marinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fellipe Araújo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Tacuru's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Toscano came free, but Fellipe Araújo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 64 minutes of play, Caraguatehy's Laércio Marinho made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fellipe Araújo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 67th match minute, Caraguatehy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Toscano to maneuver through the defense. Chico Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caraguatehy's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Lucas Sena scored to the left of an out of position Chico Tavares, making the score, 4-2. A collision led to Tacuru getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Juninho Netto hit a great ball. João Saldanha's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Chico Tavares firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 93 minutes, Laércio Marinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caraguatehy and the Tacuru players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 93rd minute, Laércio Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the game, Davi Matorin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tacuru's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caraguatehy the free kick. The supporters of Caraguatehy booed when Tacuru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Davi Matorin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caraguatehy were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Tacuru for a fine match.
