Gilberto Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilberto Secco might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olavo Vides. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilberto Secco ran back to his position shaking his head. If Gilberto Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilberto Cloyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th match minute, Miritituba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Rosado to maneuver through the defense. Olavo Vides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Torres in the 18th minute of the match. Gilberto Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Olavo Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olavo Vides stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilberto Torres's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Olavo Vides came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Gatinhos Comunistas's Gilberto Torres. But to his dismay, Gilberto Torres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Felipe Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Genílson Vinhas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilberto Torres in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olavo Vides saved Miritituba from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilberto Torres in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olavo Vides prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gilberto Cloyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Gatinhos Comunistas's zone, Felipe Pitta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Genílson Vinhas came out of the goal and Felipe Pitta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gilberto Cabral made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Miritituba's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Torres came free, but Olavo Vides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilberto Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genílson Vinhas having to interfere. In the 87thth minute of the game Gilberto Torres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Miritituba's Olavo Vides was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Gilberto Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilberto Torres struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Olavo Vides didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gatinhos Comunistas.
