In the 5th minute, Pratinha FC's Luiz Gustavo Paraíba dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. When Oscar Motta came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Morrao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Motta couldn't finish the play. In the 16th minute, Álvaro Garcia made a precise shot to the right of Gerson Braga. Pratinha FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. With his leg Silvério Albuquerque managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Pratinha FC's Luiz Gustavo Paraíba fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Gustavo Paraíba in the 26th minute of play forced Morrao's goalkeeper Silvério Albuquerque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Luiz Gustavo Paraíba took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Silvério Albuquerque to make any attempt to save it. Marquinhos Jacinto charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marquinhos Jacinto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 47 played minutes Morrao got a freekick which was hit by Marquinhos Jacinto. Morrao's Silvério Albuquerque proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Morrao from getting a goal against them. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luiz Gustavo Paraíba made a kick off. In the 54th minute of the match Pratinha FC got a corner. Morrao's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elivélton Cruz ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Elivélton Cruz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Morrao's Silvério Albuquerque did a great save. Oscar Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Gerson Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pratinha FC's Gerson Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Garcia in the 58th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Álvaro Garcia in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gerson Braga saved Pratinha FC from getting behind. In the 84th minute, Oscar Motta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Morrao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. In the 97th minute, Álvaro Garcia fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post.
