Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vitinho Pinheiro started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the game, Reginaldo Vasconcelos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pentanha AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Novo the free kick. João Augusto Pernambucano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitinho Pinheiro in the 4th minute of play. Elivélton Quaresma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Augusto Pernambucano having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Novo's goal looked a bit too open when Mané Britto came free, but Rodrigo Vides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Augusto Pernambucano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitinho Pinheiro in the 12th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Pentanha AD's goal looked a bit too open when Vitinho Pinheiro came free, but João Augusto Pernambucano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elivélton Quaresma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vitinho Pinheiro struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. João Augusto Pernambucano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Novo. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vitinho Pinheiro in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Augusto Pernambucano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. João Augusto Pernambucano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elivélton Quaresma in the 37th minute of the match. Bruninho Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Mané Britto made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Pentanha AD's goalkeeper João Augusto Pernambucano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elivélton Quaresma. Rodrigo Vides showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruninho Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. João Augusto Pernambucano made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Elivélton Quaresma sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 64 minutes, Elivélton Quaresma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Novo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elivélton Quaresma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 76 minutes into the game, Kléber Dias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Novo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pentanha AD the free kick. Kléber Dias kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the game, one of Pentanha AD:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Bruninho Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pentanha AD's João Augusto Pernambucano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Pentanha AD from getting a goal against them. Mané Britto took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rodrigo Vides. Rodrigo Vides dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Elivélton Quaresma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. João Augusto Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mané Britto came up free with the goalie in the 100th minute, the Pentanha AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mané Britto couldn't finish the play. The Novo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Novo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
