Ermidinha's Evaristo Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bebeto Terra in the 13th minute of play. Tiago Gabriel Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute Tiago Gabriel Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beto de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernani Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Baiano having to interfere. Tiago Gabriel Vale hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Paulo José Barreto charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 40th match minute, Padilha SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernani Rezende to maneuver through the defense. 41 minutes into the match, Padilha SC's goal looked a bit too open when Romeu Tepedino came free, but Beto de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiago Gabriel Vale blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Beto de Azevedo having to make a save. 43 minutes into the game, Ermidinha's Romeu Tepedino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Beto de Azevedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Romeu Tepedino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ernani Silveira kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Ernani Silveira might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evaristo Baiano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernani Silveira ran back to his position shaking his head. Padilha SC's Beto de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeu Tepedino in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of Padilha SC booed when Ermidinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thiago Tavares didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 68 played minutes, Padilha SC's Rogério de Souza shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Evaristo Baiano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Beto de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeu Tepedino, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. An unexpected shot in the 92nd minute by Joaquim Arósio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. One of Padilha SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ermidinha:s goal. When the match had been going on for 98 minutes, Ermidinha's Luiz Gustavo Jacinto got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Beto de Azevedo. Ermidinha's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
