Joaquim Arósio charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joaquim Arósio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 9 played minutes Ermidinha got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Arósio. 10 minutes into the match, Queluz's Vinícius Fonseca broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 12 minutes into the match, Queluz's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Gabriel Vale came free, but Edmílson Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Romeu Tepedino sped through Queluz's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edmílson Queiroz. Wiliam de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Romeu Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Queluz's Vivaldo Abraão got a free kick in the 30th minute. After 37 minutes, Patrício de Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Queluz and the Ermidinha players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Queluz's Patrício de Azevedo got a free kick in the 37th minute. If Romeu Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Queluz players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ermidinha were winning 0-1.

Patrício de Azevedo was shown his second yellow card after 52 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 52 played minutes Queluz got a freekick which was hit by Patrício de Azevedo. In the 60th minute, Wiliam de Medeiros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 0-2 became the score in the 68th minute when Romeu Tepedino elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Tiago Gabriel Vale in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Edmílson Queiroz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Wiliam de Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Baiano having to interfere. In the 78th minute Romeu Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmílson Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romeu Tepedino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Edmílson Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Ermidinha supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ermidinha would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
