The penalty shot was made by Gonçalo Pombal, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tocandira SS's Wágner Cordeiro. 3-0. Giovani Zilles made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Samuel Hames sent off a good shot on target. Tocandira SS's Wágner Cordeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Rosa in the 85th minute of play. After having played for 88 minutes, Samuel Hames managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tocandira SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Hames was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samuel Hames fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovani Zilles having to interfere. The Guarus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giovani Zilles should have stopped the shot. Guarus's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
