Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gláuber Pires to make the kick off. If Edson da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Serginho Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edson da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júnior Silveira having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Namorado SC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
