When Wilson Pires came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Toldo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilson Pires couldn't finish the play. In the 17th match minute, Passabem SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltazar Cerezo to maneuver through the defense. Wilson Pires hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Didi Alcântara in the 20th minute of play forced Toldo's goalkeeper Elias Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilson Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, Toldo's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Prestes came free, but Elias Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sabino Sabóia kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Elias Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Prestes, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. If Didi Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joaquim Prestes made a kick off. Didi Alcântara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Elias Marques made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Elias Marques successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Didi Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Didi Alcântara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Didi Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the game, Toldo's Dadá Silva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Gustavo Mello made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0.
