The Fundao SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fred Loyola should have stopped the shot. Fred Loyola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Severo in the 8th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the game, S.E.R Corujão's Benjamim de Almeida nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fred Loyola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Benjamim Lago hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamim de Almeida in the 14th minute of play forced Fundao SS's goalkeeper Fred Loyola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fred Loyola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kléber Reis in the 16th minute of the match. The S.E.R Corujão fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. After 40 minutes, Sandro Cabral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S.E.R Corujão and the Fundao SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Fundao SS booed when S.E.R Corujão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fred Loyola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franklin Toscano in the 44th minute of the match. S.E.R Corujão's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Osmar Alagoano in the 47th minute. After taking down the ball on S.E.R Corujão's corner Osmar Alagoano fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fred Loyola quite easily take care of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Franklin Toscano to make the kick off. Fred Loyola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kléber Reis in the 51st minute. Fred Loyola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro Cabral in the 53rd minute of play. Sílvio Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Fred Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as S.E.R Corujão's Benjamim de Almeida slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fred Loyola. That made the score 0-8 after 70 minutes of play. With a little luck, Fundao SS's Fred Loyola got control of the ball when Vitório Machado tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sílvio Severo in the 74th minute of play forced Fundao SS's goalkeeper Fred Loyola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 78 played minutes Sílvio Severo rounded Fundao SS's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-9. In the 82nd minute, S.E.R Corujão's Benjamim de Almeida ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fred Loyola. Fred Loyola yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-10. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 0-11 when Franklin Toscano sped through Fundao SS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fred Loyola. In the 92nd minute, S.E.R Corujão's Orlando Alvarenga dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-12. In the 95th minute, Sílvio Severo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fred Loyola was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-13. When the match was over S.E.R Corujão could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fundao SS throughout the match.
