But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lúcio Bittencourt couldn't finish the play. 34 minutes into the match, Pirapucu SC's goal looked a bit too open when João Adolfo Arósio came free, but Júlio Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Adolfo Arósio in the 36th minute of play forced Pirapucu SC's goalkeeper Júlio Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Pirapucu SC's goal looked a bit too open when João Adolfo Arósio came free, but Júlio Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pirapucu SC's Benedito Teixeira got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Pebra's João Adolfo Arósio in 60 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Júlio Neves guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After some careless play in the Pebra defense, Lúcio Bittencourt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Noel Valladares. The Pebra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Noel Valladares should have stopped the shot. Dalmo Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Júlio Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 75 played minutes Pebra got a freekick which was hit by João Adolfo Arósio. After 77 minutes, Jefferson Vale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pirapucu SC and the Pebra players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 77th match minute, Pirapucu SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jefferson Vale to maneuver through the defense. Pirapucu SC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
