Márcio Vidal's late challenge caught a Flying Dutch's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Márcio Vidal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th minute, Márcio Vidal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waldemar de Lara charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Waldemar de Lara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some careless play in the Terreiro defense, Eurico Batista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Mota. The Terreiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Mota should have stopped the shot. Márcio Vidal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute, Niceto Xacintu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flying Dutch fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 29th minute Higinio Raymundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute Flying Dutch were awarded a corner. Eurico Batista went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Flying Dutch's Eurico Batista to fire away a dangerous shot which Fernando Mota despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 33 minutes of play, Flying Dutch's Eurico Batista made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernando Mota was left in no man's land by his defense there! Higinio Raymundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Fernando Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 37 played minutes Terreiro got a freekick which was hit by Cléber Gonçalves. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Fabian Ivașcu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flying Dutch's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabian Ivașcu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Mota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 44 minutes into the match, Terreiro's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Ivașcu came free, but Fernando Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Cléber Gonçalves hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 53 played minutes Flying Dutch got a freekick which was hit by Niceto Xacintu. Niceto Xacintu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Fernando Mota made a huge save. Terreiro's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Niceto Xacintu scored to the left of an out of position Fernando Mota, making the score, 0-5. Terreiro's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Cido de Medeiros scored to the left of an out of position Fernando Mota, making the score, 0-6. After 69 played minutes Terreiro got a freekick which was hit by Raúl Varela. 80 minutes into the match, Terreiro's goalkeeper Fernando Mota had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Niceto Xacintu. 83 minutes into the match, Terreiro's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Ivașcu came free, but Fernando Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robinho Moreira in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arthur Amorim saved Flying Dutch from getting behind. A hard shot 86 in the game by Eurico Batista from a close distance when the talented Fernando Mota managed to make a qualified save. Terreiro's players were relieved. In the 88th minute, Flying Dutch's Niceto Xacintu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fernando Mota. Fernando Mota yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. Terreiro's Fernando Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eurico Batista in the 94th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Terreiro's goalkeeper Fernando Mota had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabian Ivașcu. The Terreiro fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Flying Dutch were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
