After 12 minutes of play, Capanema EC's Miguel Fernandes made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gerson Mesquita was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gerson Mesquita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. But to his dismay, Miguel Fernandes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Gerson Mesquita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel Fernandes went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Capanema EC's Frédson Paraíba got control of the ball when Leonardo Paraense tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

Doriva Reis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Gerson Mesquita made a huge save. 53 minutes into the match, Georgetown's goal looked a bit too open when Flavinho de Lara came free, but Gerson Mesquita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerson Mesquita was a little too slow when Miguel Fernandes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 1-5. Gerson Mesquita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavinho de Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 62 minutes into the game, Miguel Fernandes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gerson Mesquita. Miguel Fernandes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. Flavinho de Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Georgetown's Gerson Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Fernandes in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Georgetown's goalkeeper Gerson Mesquita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Doriva Reis. If Geovânio Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doriva Reis kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Flavinho de Lara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Capanema EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. Gerson Mesquita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Fernandes in the 82nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Capanema EC's Flavinho de Lara slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gerson Mesquita. That made the score 1-8 after 84 minutes of play. Eduardo Furlan lost his temper 88 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee gave Capanema EC a penalty, 90 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Silvério Ceresso, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Georgetown's Gerson Mesquita. 1-9. Doriva Reis scored 1-10 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gerson Mesquita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gerson Mesquita came out of the goal in the 99th minute to try and stop a shot by Capanema EC's Flavinho de Lara. But to his dismay, Flavinho de Lara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-11.
