Durval Rossi was slow to take the kick. During this time Fúria Futebol Clube's players had a chance to rest. Luís Fabiano Cerezo hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. 7 minutes into the match, Geovani Goiano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júlio Porto. Fúria Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geovani Goiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 12th minute Adrián Czornomaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adrián Czornomaz scored 0-2 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Júlio Porto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Júlio Porto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adrián Czornomaz went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Adrián Czornomaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guayra FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrián Czornomaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júlio Porto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristian Pernambucano to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Fúria Futebol Clube's Durval Rossi got a free kick in the 51st minute. 52 minutes into the match, Fúria Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Jânio Tepedino came free, but Júlio Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 53rd minute of the match Guayra FC got a corner. Fúria Futebol Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jânio Tepedino ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Donato Tejo managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 55th minute Adrián Czornomaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guayra FC were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Fúria Futebol Clube's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jânio Tepedino took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Donato Tejo heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 63rd minute, Carlinhos Vianna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Fúria Futebol Clube's Evaristo Mesquita got a free kick in the 65th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Wilton Albuquerque dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Júlio Porto, 0-6. After a defensive mix-up in Fúria Futebol Clube's zone, Adrián Czornomaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Porto came out of the goal and Adrián Czornomaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Geovani Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Júlio Porto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrián Czornomaz in the 75th minute of the match. After 75 minutes, Geovani Goiano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guayra FC and the Fúria Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fúria Futebol Clube's Vladimir Corrêa was substituted for Hortêncio Fernandes. In the 77th match minute, Guayra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovani Goiano to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Tejo in the 87th minute of play forced Fúria Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Júlio Porto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Júlio Porto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrián Czornomaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Adrián Czornomaz had several of the Fúria Futebol Clube's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 92 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-8 score and a disappointed Júlio Porto as he didn't even see the shot coming.
