After a defensive mix-up in Ibiquera's zone, Dalmo Trigo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juarês Maciel came out of the goal and Dalmo Trigo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th minute Dalmo Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juarês Maciel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ibiquera's Juarês Maciel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Ibiquera from getting a goal against them. Ibiquera's Juarês Maciel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmo Trigo in the 10th minute of play. Juarês Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalmo Trigo in the 15th minute of play. After 19 minutes, Róbson Marquez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ibiquera and the Joinville City players grew even worse after the yellow card. Joinville City's Durvalino Vergílio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Guilherme Vidal in the 21st minute of play. Felipe Bueno kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 1-0 became the score in the 31st minute when Raí da Cunha elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Ibiquera's zone, Dalmo Trigo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juarês Maciel came out of the goal and Dalmo Trigo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juarês Maciel came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Joinville City's Raí da Cunha. But to his dismay, Raí da Cunha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, Ibiquera's Zé Carlos Koehler got a free kick in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dalmo Trigo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Ibiquera got a freekick which was hit by Zé Carlos Koehler. In the 54th minute of the match Pedro Baiano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juarês Maciel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 60th minute Dalmo Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juarês Maciel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodriguinho Peixoto charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodriguinho Peixoto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Joinville City booed when Ibiquera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodriguinho Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience cheered when Pedro Baiano's long shot passed Juarês Maciel's right side. It was 3-0, 62 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ibiquera booed when Joinville City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelinho Leme didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute, Marcelinho Leme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 82 minutes into the game, Joinville City's Raí da Cunha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juarês Maciel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. When Zé Pedro Hermes fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibiquera's protests and gave Zé Pedro Hermes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th minute, one of Ibiquera:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ibiquera. The referee gave Joinville City a penalty, 90 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Pedro Baiano, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ibiquera's Juarês Maciel. 5-0. After a defensive mix-up in Joinville City's zone, Noel Antunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Durvalino Vergílio came out of the goal and Noel Antunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the Joinville City players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
