After a defensive mix-up in CRUZEIRO S.A's zone, Giovanni Galvão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Barreto came out of the goal and Giovanni Galvão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Danilo Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Christian Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CRUZEIRO S.A's Christian Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Torres in the 12th minute of play. If Giovanni Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eriberto de Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christian Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danilo Torres in the 19th minute of the match. Claudinho Terra kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Doni Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 24 played minutes CRUZEIRO S.A got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Cardozo. Giovanni Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doni Xavier in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Barreto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Danilo Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. Christian Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Pindurao ADD's Giovanni Galvão got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alex Maciel was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Waldemar Dionísio in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiago Simões saved Pindurao ADD from getting behind. Pindurao ADD's attentive Eriberto de Sena managed to snatch the ball when Válbson Dantas made a throw-in in the 65th minute of the game. Christian Barreto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alex Maciel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 67 minute of play. Eriberto de Sena's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Christian Barreto firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Danilo Torres got free with Christian Barreto in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of CRUZEIRO S.A booed when Pindurao ADD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eriberto de Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, CRUZEIRO S.A's goal looked a bit too open when Giovanni Galvão came free, but Christian Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danilo Torres had several of the CRUZEIRO S.A's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 96 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Christian Barreto as he didn't even see the shot coming. When the final whistle sounded Pindurao ADD left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than CRUZEIRO S.A.
