After 27 played minutes HELVETIA got a freekick which was hit by Hernani Botelho. After 31 minutes, David Abad made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. HELVETIA's Mazinho Fernandez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. David Abad in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mazinho Fernandez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If David Abad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Severijnse in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mazinho Fernandez prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Abad was the one to do the kick off. David Severijnse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mazinho Fernandez having to interfere. David Severijnse scored 5-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mazinho Fernandez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 60 minutes into the match, Espiãs's goal looked a bit too open when Adrianinho Valladares came free, but Wiliam Vinhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Espiãs fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Espiãs's David Severijnse looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luís Fernando Vergílio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wiliam Vinhas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. After having played for 87 minutes, David Abad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Espiãs's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Abad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of HELVETIA booed when Espiãs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mazinho Fernandez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Abad went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score.
