Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) S. E. Palestra's Eliézer do Nascimento started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to S. E. Palestra getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Betão Vaz hit a great ball. 5 minutes into the game, Dénes Valter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gláuber Ramalho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eliézer do Nascimento received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. József Csordás came out and tried to block the shot, but Eliézer do Nascimento slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 9th minute. József Csordás made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliézer do Nascimento in the 16th minute of play. Nicolas de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in lawyer's zone, Eliézer do Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. József Csordás came out of the goal and Eliézer do Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Serginho Aguiar fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S. E. Palestra's protests and gave Serginho Aguiar a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dénes Valter in the 28th minute of play forced S. E. Palestra's goalkeeper Gláuber Ramalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Sílvio Luís Vinhas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of József Csordás. lawyer's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sílvio Luís Vinhas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 34th minute of the match Fabrício Galvão sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gláuber Ramalho skillfully saved the ball. Gláuber Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dénes Valter, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 45th minute, Adilson Mota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliézer do Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without József Csordás having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tirso Valdeon made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eliézer do Nascimento in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck József Csordás prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gernando Mazza kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Wiliam Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicolas de Amaral struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. József Csordás didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S. E. Palestra. József Csordás didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sílvio Luís Vinhas went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 73rd minute Nicolas de Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but József Csordás saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in lawyer's zone, Sílvio Luís Vinhas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. József Csordás came out of the goal and Sílvio Luís Vinhas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th minute, Serginho Aguiar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tiaguinho Peixoto charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiaguinho Peixoto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 85th minute, Tiaguinho Peixoto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. lawyer's Fabrício Galvão couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 86th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for S. E. Palestra. Gláuber Ramalho came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by lawyer's Tirso Valdeon. But to his dismay, Tirso Valdeon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. 95 minutes into the match, Dénes Valter notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of S. E. Palestra's Gláuber Ramalho. Gláuber Ramalho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
