Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) SÃO PAULO FC's Dennis Zarrella started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. SÃO PAULO FC's Romário Brasil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas de Amaral in the 3rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SÃO PAULO FC's zone, Nicolas de Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romário Brasil came out of the goal and Nicolas de Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Romário Brasil was a little too slow when Sílvio Luís Vinhas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. Romário Brasil came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by S. E. Palestra's Sílvio Luís Vinhas. But to his dismay, Sílvio Luís Vinhas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Deivid Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. When S. E. Palestra's Deivid Ortiz in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SÃO PAULO FC's goalie prevented a goal. Sílvio Luís Vinhas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Romário Brasil skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Deivid Ortiz charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Deivid Ortiz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Deivid Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Deivid Ortiz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Romário Brasil. That made the score 5-0 in the 30 minute of play. Nicolas de Amaral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Romário Brasil having to make a save. In the 34th minute, Deivid Ortiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sílvio Luís Vinhas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Romário Brasil having to make a save. Romário Brasil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deivid Ortiz in the 36th minute of the match. Deivid Ortiz got in the 39th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Romário Brasil handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After 41 played minutes SÃO PAULO FC got a freekick which was hit by Claudinei de Almeida. Romário Brasil was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nicolas de Amaral. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

51 minutes into the game, Kiko Valadares recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gláuber Ramalho. Kiko Valadares showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-1. Deivid Ortiz got his second yellow card in the match during the 54th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, S. E. Palestra's Deivid Ortiz got a free kick in the 55th minute. If Sílvio Luís Vinhas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dennis Zarrella's late challenge caught a S. E. Palestra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dennis Zarrella helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd minute, Dennis Zarrella hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicolas de Amaral's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Romário Brasil - 7-1 was put on the score board in the 64th minute. Romário Brasil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas de Amaral in the 69th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zeca Nogueira during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to SÃO PAULO FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Zeca Nogueira hit a great ball. SÃO PAULO FC's Romário Brasil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas de Amaral in the 72nd minute of play. After 74 minutes of play, S. E. Palestra's Serginho Aguiar made it 8-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romário Brasil was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nicolas de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of S. E. Palestra booed when SÃO PAULO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osmar Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dennis Zarrella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Gláuber Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
