In the 11th minute of the match, Joel Teles tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Serginho Rossi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 48 minutes into the game, Kaká Paiva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1.
