With an extended leg and a bit of luck Álvaro Saraiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jardel Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Hílton Pinho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Álvaro Saraiva was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Arí de Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Toninho Mangueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Real Astoria FC's Lino Vargas got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Real Astoria FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Sandro Neves hit a great ball. The Real Astoria FC fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Real Astoria FC's Hílton Pinho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 38 played minutes Profeta SS got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernando Azevedo. When Arí de Salles came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Profeta SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arí de Salles couldn't finish the play. Arí de Salles succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 48th playminute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hílton Pinho made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arí de Salles in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Toninho Mangueira saved Real Astoria FC from getting behind. After some careless play in the Profeta SS defense, Hílton Pinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Álvaro Saraiva. The Profeta SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Álvaro Saraiva should have stopped the shot. A hard shot 59 in the game by Hílton Pinho from a close distance when the talented Álvaro Saraiva managed to make a qualified save. Profeta SS's players were relieved. Hílton Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Saraiva having to interfere. In the 64th minute André Luís Vargas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toninho Mangueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 66 minutes, Arí de Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Profeta SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arí de Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Real Astoria FC's goal looked a bit too open when André Luís Vargas came free, but Toninho Mangueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toninho Mangueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Luís Vargas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hílton Pinhos short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Álvaro Saraiva to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Álvaro Saraiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Vargas, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute, André Luís Vargas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Profeta SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. In the 87th match minute, Real Astoria FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betinho Dracena to maneuver through the defense. When Hílton Pinho came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Real Astoria FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hílton Pinho couldn't finish the play. When Jardel Machado fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Astoria FC's protests and gave Jardel Machado a yellow card for diving instead. Jardel Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Real Astoria FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
