After a rather tough play, 丅卂从卂-乇リ 下.匚's Matías Hermes got a free kick in the 12th minute. Jardel Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Thomás Arantes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 14 minutes, Sandro Neves mouthed his way into the referee's book. Real Astoria FC's Toninho Mangueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luiz Mendonça in the 15th minute of play. Real Astoria FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dida Arósio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

59 minutes into the match, Real Astoria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Luiz Mendonça came free, but Toninho Mangueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dida Arósio took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Toninho Mangueira. Toninho Mangueira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. If Amauri Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute Hílton Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomás Arantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dida Arósio in the 68th minute of play forced Real Astoria FC's goalkeeper Toninho Mangueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toninho Mangueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dida Arósio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
