The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After a rather tough play, Jequi's Genílson Pitta got a free kick in the 24th minute. Rúben Trigueiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Tróia, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 37 minutes of play, Sputnik FC's Francisco da Costa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rúben Trigueiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Jequi's Genílson Pitta got a free kick in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emanuel Tróia made a kick off. The supporters of Sputnik FC booed when Jequi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st match minute, Jequi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Pedro Prata to maneuver through the defense. Genílson Pitta hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Jequi were victorious despite being under pressure from Sputnik FC for much of the match.
